Apple has recently announced an extension of their battery replacement program for iPhone 5. Previously scheduled to end on 1st March’15, now the programme will run up to 2016, announced the tech giant.
While Apple has always been a preferred brand in luxury phone segment, the iPhone 5 has been a huge disappointment in terms of battery performance.

Thus the company initially rolled out this battery replacement program for this model with initial time period of 2 years from the first retail sale, which was until March 1st 2015.
Recently, the company has notified about this extended period of battery replacement through their official website.
So, to the delight of iPhone 5 users the program is now rescheduled to run till 16th January 2016.

In an announcement, Apple has discussed the cause of this extension as well. According to the spokesperson, the company has seen that a very few numbers of iPhone 5 was sold during the period from September 2012 to January 2013.
Thus this extension of the battery exchange program to cover these dates as well.
The company has always been known for their superior customer service policy.
So, if you have the iPhone 5 and have no intention of switching from it anytime soon, then you can check out at Apple’s official website whether your phone is eligible for the battery replacement or not.
