Creating Contact Forms in HTML with AidaForm Online Form Builder

Although contact forms may be relatively simple and basic – do you know enough HTML, PHP and CSS to create one? If the answer is ‘no’ then there are a few alternatives you could try such as copying and pasting code for pre-built contact forms, but customizing such forms requires coding as well.

The good news is that you don’t need to learn how to code in HTML to create HTML contact forms. Instead all that you really need to do is use the AidaForm Online Form Builder.

How to Create and Customize a Contact Form in HTML

Essentially AidaForm will provide you with a graphical method to create and customize your contact form so that it looks exactly the way that you want it to. In order to do that you should first sign-up on the website for a free account and then log in.

If you’ve done that already, just follow these steps:

  1. Create a form and select a template

In the member’s area you can click on the ‘Create a Form’ button then choose either a blank template or one of the standard templates that will add basic fields automatically. After choosing an option, type in the name that you want to assign to your contact form and click ‘Create’.

2. Add fields to the form

If you want to add fields to the contact form you just created you can expand the ‘Form Elements’ in AidaForm’s Form Editor and select the type of field that you want to add. The text for each field can be customized in its settings, and you can then drag it into the position that you want to place it in.

3. Select a theme and customize the design

Under the ‘Form Designer’ section you’ll be able to browse through the themes that are available and select one to stylize your form. Alternatively (or in addition to it), you can create your own theme by customizing the font, colors, and other parameters as you see fit.

4. Add a custom message and publish

Before you publish your form, be sure to create a custom message that will appear after a respondent submits the form. If that’s sorted you can then click ‘Publish’ and opt to export the HTML code for the form.

That code can then be pasted on your website – effectively publishing the contact form.
